The preparation of future European programs and policies for the post-2020 period is well under way: cohesion policy (FEDER-FSE + 2021-2027), common agricultural policy (EAFRD 2021-2027), LEADER, territorial cooperation programs, thematic programs of the European Union (Horizon 2020, Life, Erasmus +…).
Taking into account the needs of rural areas will be one of the major challenges of this future programming. In addition to the rural development component of the Common Agricultural Policy, the 2021-2027 ERDF / ESF + operational program will also include a component dedicated to “rural areas”. In addition, the European Commission has launched a vast consultation on the long-term vision of rural areas, to which stakeholders in our region are contributing through the SHERPA project (funded under the Horizon 2020 program). Faced with immense challenges (opening up, access to services, climate change, development of short circuits, digital economy, etc.) but also sources of innovation and attractiveness, the rural areas of our region must be actors in the construction of European programs post 2020.
To better understand the challenges and contours of these future programs, the Regional Rural Network invites you to the Forum that it is organizing digitally on January 21, 2021.
