SmartAL is an Erasmus+ capacity building project in higher education.
SmartAL will lead by the fall 2021 to the implementation of a Master in "European Innovations for a Sustainable Management of Albanian Territories, rural areas and agriculture: Instruments, policies, strategies" in Albania.
Its consortium gathers high education institutions in Albania, Germany, Greece and France.
The CIHEAM Montpellier, in charge of the coordination of the SmartAL project, has a longstanding experience of cooperation with Albania. Magali Maire, the coordinator of the project at the CIHEAM Montpellier, met the rector of the Agricultural University of Tirana (UBT) with the purpose to formalize cooperation agreements between the CIHEAM Montpellier and the UBT, so as to seal more than 20 years of fruitful collaboration in the training of Albanian students and partnership in international projects.
