Résumé : | Water security and climate change are among the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century. These issues, however, do not affect all people equally. Women and marginalised gender groups often bear the brunt of climate change's impact on water availability, sanitation and agricultural productivity, despite being underrepresented in governance and policy formulation. Scientific and professional community shall address these challenges through policy, innovation and sustainable management. Addressing these challenges requires gender-responsive climate-resilient strategies, which integrate gender equity into climate policies, adaptation and mitigation efforts. |
