| Résumé : | This study examined the effects of climate change on the resilience and sustainability of agricultural cooperatives in Europe. Data was collected from 345 Greek cooperative farmers using a cross-sectional survey and a quantitative research methodology. The results highlight major obstacles facing cooperatives, such as decreased crop diversity, scarce water supplies and lower yields from droughts. However, cooperatives are implementing different tactics, including crop diversification, sustainable farming methods, and new agricultural technologies, among others, to address climate change effects. This study highlights that innovation, policy support, and local experience are needed in order to enhance the resilience of cooperatives. © 2025 Greek Association of Agricultural Economists. |
