| Résumé : |
Climate change patterns are intensifying, affecting the human life and his habitat. Agricultural sector is the most vulnerable facing these extreme climatic conditions, due to its explicit dependency on natural resources and particularly water. This raises a critical question about water availability and current situation. In the Pays-de-la-Loire region, a lot of efforts has been invested in managing the water quality, yet the water quantity seems excluded from their priority agendas. This disequilibrium is alarming in front of the globe current situation as water scarcity is becoming a major concern as important as nitrate-free water.
For this, this research aims to study the water-saving practices in Nantes Metropolis using a qualitative perspective, starting from professional stakeholders and extending to on-field farmers. The goal is to understand the motivations and the barriers behind the adoption of water- efficient practices, as well as, examining the existing public policies and supports to see if it satisfies farmers expectation and aligns with the real local context to guarantee an effective ecological transition. |
