| Résumé : | Jordan is a semi-arid region that is facing challenges in sustainable agriculture due to significant water stress and climate change. This data article presents a robust dataset encompassing 30 years (1994?2023) of agricultural statistics for 16 key field crops across 16 cities and regions in Jordan. It includes annual figures for planted area, harvested area, and total production, offering a valuable foundation for analysing long-term agricultural trends, crop productivity, regional economic patterns, and the effects of environmental or policy shifts on farming practices. The dataset, compiled from data provided by department of statistics Jordan, it has been meticulously cleaned and structured to ensure reliability and ease of use. Core variables include 'City', 'Crop', 'Activity' (Planted Area, Harvested Area, Production), and annual values. Preliminary insights highlight notable temporal shifts, regional disparities, and diverse interrelations among the agricultural activities across different crops Planted and harvested area contracted by -59% and -62% at the same time production increased by +146% indicating increase in agricultural yield efficiency. |
