| Résumé : | Impact of various policy instruments on production of environmental goods which are complementary to or competing with agricultural commodities, is analysed considering the uncertainty in output prices and farmers risk aversion. First some theoretic conclusions are summarised and than they are tested on a case study concerning the beef and grassland biodiversity production by farmers breeding Salers suckler cows in Monts du Cantal, France. The results of simulations carried out by a modified version of the Opt'INRA Salers mathematical programming farm level model confirm general tendencies derived by the theory but they illustrate also that neglecting factors like the heterogeneity in outputs and in production resources may lead to incorrect conclusions |
