Résumé : | The liberalisation of Euro-Mediterranean trade in agricultural goods has been in progress since 2005. The process is also accompanied by the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) that aims at going beyond the abolition of customs tariffs to support internal reforms (political and economic) in the MPCs in order to achieve broader opening of their markets. Euro-Mediterranean relations are also part of the general movement of liberalisation of trade and policies, determined to a considerable degree by the multilateral negotiations at the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and are also one of the main lines of EU policy with regard to its MPCs. Finally, the ongoing reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) may also have effects on Euro-Mediterranean policy. |
