Résumé : | This paper evokes the role of foggara in the development of thousands of palms in the oases of Aoulef. Thus, investigations and surveys were conducted in the region with the local population during the years 2013 and 2016. It turns out that the originality of these foggaras lies in the proliferation of branching galleries forming a drainage system that has an impact on increasing the flow of foggaras. The foggara has deteriorated since the onset of deep drilling in the region (more than half a century). However, it must be restored, as is the only hydraulic system that provides both water supply and environmental protection of a fragile ecosystem like the Sahara. |
