Résumé : | For sustainable rural development, urban and rural development must be provided together. For rural development to succeed, disadvantaged groups must be considered, and women are the most important actors in underprivileged groups. Therefore, determining the place and importance of women in rural development will help develop development programs more successfully. There have been limited studies in the research area to examine the impact of women in rural development. Qualitative and quantitative methods are used together to achieve the purpose of the research. The primary material of the study was a questionnaire in the Samsun province of Türkiye. As a result of the study, it has been determined that women contribute to the region they live in almost every stage of crop and animal production processes, and it has been concluded that they contribute to hazelnut production both as a labour force and economically. In addition, the fact that the monthly income earned varies according to gender is a result of the regression model created. The research results are expected to shed light on academics, NGOs and policymakers who want to work on women in Türkiye. |
