Résumé : | Climate change is the worlds number one concern nowadays. In the northern cold regions, it has positive effects on agriculture while in other parts of the word such as the Mediterranean area, the increase in temperatures and periods of drought might be a threat to crop production and consequently food security. Wheat is the words third most cultivated crop; it consists the base aliment for the population in the Balkan countries part of them Albania. Though, the plant is menaced by global warming. The goal of this work is to simulate future yields of wheat under the uncertainty of climate conditions for the next decade in the region of Korçe using cropsyst model. The considered climatic aspects are temperature and precipitation. The results show that the increase in temperature lowers the biomass and grain yields of the crop while the decrease in precipitation highly affects the yields by diminishing them which makes the cultivation of this cultivar impossible in a dry area. |
