Résumé : | Today, technology is an important vector of economic and environmental performance in agriculture. It provides innovative solutions to increase the efficiency of orchards and help in decision-making. Therefore, Blue whale being the leading company of apple production in France is in constant search of new techniques to optimize the production in both quantity and quality. One of the critical phenomenas that threatens this production is biennial bearing in certain varieties. In this study, we implemented new mapping technologies to develop solutions. We obtained maps at three different key stages of apple development: blossom intensity, before and after manual thinning. In addition, we created a treatment map to modulate the chemical thinning. These tools capture data at high resolutions, capable of reaching an unprecedented level of detail, unmatched by manual methods. This allows to have a precise vision of the relative performance of the entire orchard or of a specific block. |
