Résumé : | To characterize the potential of agroecological transformation in Egypt in Luxor Governorate in two areas (Zanqta and El-Baghdadi), the issue of promoting agroecology is viewed differently by agricultural producers, consumers and other actors in agricultural regions and value chains, depending on their activities, interests, and room to maneuver for change. The study's first goal is to stop looking at a set of agroecological practices as a simple investment that must be evaluated primarily from the economic and financial point of view of the production system and value chain. To do this, the literature was first reviewed so that we could master the two main concepts of the study, namely combining agroecological practices and agroecological transformation. Next, a survey was conducted to answer the hypotheses, followed by interviews with experienced people about the agricultural, social and environmental dynamics behind the choices. Workshops on agricultural practices were held for all elements of the value chain (farmers and stakeholders). The data was analyzed using Excel and SPSS, and the results of the comparison between the Al-Baghdadi region and the Zenata region about agricultural environmental practices showed that the Al-Baghdadi region has more knowledge of environmental practices than the Zenata region, where most practices such as crop rotation and tree planting are practiced. The Al-Baghdadi areas knowledge of the practices is the result of their training and guidance by civil society associations and non-profit associations, but the number of these associations is very small in the Zenata area, where they are trained and made aware of these practices. Practices. Their knowledge is based on development projects previously implemented in the region, in addition to some ancient practices that fall under the concept of environmental practices, but they did not realize this. |
