Résumé : | Prospection of potential sites for solar power plants is crucial for the successful implementation of solar PV projects, considering environmental protection, sustainable agriculture, proximity to facilities, weather patterns, and urban planning regulations. This study aims to identify the abonded old mineral extractions in the region of Hauts de France during the year 1984. These lands can be more adaptable with solar projects without affecting the biodiversity and soil with high agricultural potential. A geospatial technique has been used to evaluate the change detection. The NDVI index, Red Infrared Band and False Color Composition have been combined via supervised classification of satellite data Sentinel A1 from 2023 and Landsat 5 from1984 using a decision support hierarchical model. 34 detected sites have been detected. This analysis was followed by a feasibility study for the selected sites. |
