This thesis explores the burgeoning concept of "Agrivoltaism," which combines energy generation and agriculture on the same land to address the challenges of food security and sustainable energy. The study evaluates the feasibility of agrivoltaic projects, considering agronomic, economic, regulatory, and technical factors.
Through a comprehensive methodology developed during a 6 months internship at VALOREM, this research examines the technical requirements, management practices regulatory constraints, costs, and benefits of agrivoltaic systems. It also delves into their compatibility with traditional agriculture and solar energy production methods. The findings underscore the potential of agrivoltaism to harmonize energy and agriculture on shared land while shedding light on the challenges and opportunities associated with this innovative approach. |
