Résumé : | In international trade, comparative advantage indices are the main tools used to measure competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the competitiveness of France and Turkey in the agricultural sector. International agricultural trade is critical for food security and accessibility by linking food systems across countries. Both static and dynamic competitiveness in the agricultural sector of the two countries are measured. Static competitiveness was measured using the Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) index, Normalized Revealed Comparative Advantage (NRCA) index, and dynamic competitiveness was measured using the Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA) index, Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) Regression Method (with RSCA and NRCA) and Trend Analysis. The consistency between RCA, NRCA, and RSCA was also measured. In this study, international agricultural export data were used and calculated to identify and analyze the competitiveness of France and Turkey in the agricultural sector. This analysis will provide an important basis for future trade strategies by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the two countries in the agricultural sector. |
