MED-Amin: Save the date!
November 22-23, 2022: MED-Amin network meeting
This meeting is jointly organized by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and CIHEAM Zaragoza, as well as CIHEAM Montpellier as coordinator of the MED-Amin network.
It will bring together decision-makers from the Mediterranean countries of CIHEAM and relevant international organisations, as well as representatives of the main cereal market operators, to draw the way forward for a strengthened MED-Amin early warning system, to share updates on cereal markets and market forecasts in particular related to the conflict in Ukraine, to present the MED-Amin 2021-2022 activities and to discuss future activities in a context of tense agricultural markets and uncertain food security.
A session will be dedicated to mechanisms to strengthen information systems and cooperation in the Mediterranean. High-level representatives will provide institutional and strategic insights into the current and anticipated information needs of Mediterranean countries to prepare, monitor and operationalize food crisis and emergency management strategies.
