The CIHEAM Montpellier was pleased to welcome Prof. Elena Kokthi and Prof. Fatmir Guri from the Agricultural University of Tirana, Albania, within the framework of the ERASMUS+ mobility program with Albania (Magali Maire, project coordinator).
This meeting was an opportunity to consider prospects for collaboration between teacher-researchers from both institutions, in particular on sustainable food systems in Albania and more widely in the Western Balkans, but also on the supervision of students from the CIHEAM Montpellier (Master MIDAS) as part of their master's internship in Albania. Discussions also led to the organization of a training course on geographic information systems to be held in September 2024 at the CIHEAM Montpellier, in which 10 Albanian teachers will take part.
A meeting with the Director of the CIHEAM Montpellier also provided an opportunity to discuss current and future cooperation projects.
