Building on the notable success of the regional conference on agroecology: Science and Policy, held on January 29, 30, and 31, 2025, in Tunis as part of the NATAE project, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) and CIHEAM Montpellier signed a framework partnership agreement in Tunis on March 5. This agreement reflects the desire of both intergovernmental organizations to continue and strengthen the fruitful collaboration established over recent months.
This partnership will be reflected in several actions, including: supervision of interns and PhD students, exchanges of scientists, development of joint research and innovation projects, creation of joint training programs and educational modules to build the capacities of regional stakeholders, and joint participation in international scientific and technical networks to enhance the visibility and impact of their shared initiatives.
