From September 15 to 17, 2025, the academic year at CIHEAM Montpellier for the 2025–2026 Master’s students began under the best possible conditions, with three welcome days full of encounters and discoveries.

Day 1: Welcome Day for CIHEAM Montpellier Master 2 Students

The new 2025–2026 Master’s cohort started the year at CIHEAM Montpellier in a warm and friendly atmosphere. On the program for this first day: a welcome breakfast, a presentation of the institute’s services, a convivial lunch shared with the entire staff, and finally, a welcome meeting led by the Director of Studies.

Day 2: Discovering Montpellier!

The following day, our students had the opportunity to explore the cultural and historical treasures of Montpellier through a guided tour organized by the Montpellier Tourist Office. Accompanied by staff members, they were able to experience the city’s charm while sharing this enriching moment.

Day 3: Interactive Workshops

To conclude the welcome days, the third day focused on exchange and engagement. It was organized around four workshops run by Sustain Consulting:

• Workshop 1: Intercultural exchange and discovery
• Workshop 2: Reflecting on our shared values
• Workshop 3: Discussing our collective responsibility
• Workshop 4: Meeting with five associations committed to solidarity and individual responsibility:
  ▪ Secours Populaire
  ▪ Smile (mental health)
  ▪ Face Hérault (fighting exclusion)
  ▪ CIDFF (support for women and families)
  ▪ Développement solidaire et durable (urban waste management)

This final day was rich in exchanges and discoveries, strengthening the bonds between students while raising awareness of the values of openness, solidarity, and responsibility promoted by CIHEAM Montpellier.

These three days laid the foundations for a promising academic year, with cooperation, diversity, and openness at the heart of the learning journey.
